It was a busy weekend at the Cheese and Grain, with last Saturday's Greens at the Grain fundraiser featuring great sets from Fat Stanley, Al O'Kane and Three Corners in the main hall, while we chatted to people at our stall in the foyer, alongside Frome Anti-Fracking and Incredible Edible.
A few hours later we were back for Do Democracy Day, organised by Unlock Democracy, a fascinating day of workshops and discussions on how we can enable more effective political participation, from green activism and learning from movements like Podemos to overcoming voter apathy and changing the voting system. Great to meet with Fossil Free Bristol and hear about their campaign for fossil fuel divestment in the city.
