Speakers Sam Lund-Harket of Global Justice Now, Green councillor Shane Collins and Anna Francis, Resilience Officer at Frome Town Council outlined the problem of the carbon bubble, where companies are overvalued because their official stock market prices wrongly assume that all their fossil fuel assets can be released and sold, despite the fact that this would cause catastrophic climate change and is contrary to the recommendations of the Paris COP21 conference to drastically reduce the global use of fossil fuel immediately. And many thanks to everyone who joined us at our Show the Love stall on Sat 13th Feb to contribute their reasons why they love the planet. This was part of the Show the Love national climate campaign. We received some terrific messages, from 'endless inspiration & diversity' to 'Mars is too bloody cold'!
